January Delight

 Happy New Year Everybody!

I’m super excited for 2012 because you know why.. I’m gonna have a baby soon! I’m already in my third trimester (30 weeks) and that means in 2 months, i’m going to see my baby boy :D

After all that "too-much-food" vacation in Indonesia and other countries, I was so glad to be back home in Atlanta.. And I’m still buzzing with cake orders although I’m taking it easy now.. And My husband is my best-est assistant ever! He helped me so much with fondant works, lifting heavy stuff, going up and down the stairs to get the cakes, and MASSAGE! How blessed I am :)

So, here is a cake order for Chinese New Year for Able Packaging Company. The owner is a dear friend of mine :)

And yes, I made 11 of these cakes.. All decorations are hand made and crafted with love..

The next cake is for Nathan’s 2nd Birthday..

I also made these cute Mickey Mouse Cake pops.. So much fun to make!

I wish you have a great month in February! I know I will :D

Long Overdue: Part 2

Ok, I’m continuing the blog from Part 1…

These cupcakes were for ChiChi and Yonathan’s Wedding and their theme was all the way Cherry Blossom.. I hand made all these lil’ sugar flowers and hand painted all the coloring… All made with love :)

This cake was Meri and Iwan’s Wedding Cake.. Everything was airbrushed with Champagne and Gold color… And the round thingy was airbrushed macarons… Yes, all macarons were edible!

Ok next…

This cake, I love love love it! The design, the process, and the result made me very happy :) It’s the damask wedding cake with red roses on top..

This one is a very fun cake to do! It’s for Faith Melody Chen! A friend of mine’s daughter turned one and I think she loves cupcakes… It’s cupcakes frenzy! From the giant to the medium to the mini size cupcakes are all here!

And she also ordered these cute bees, pigs, and birds cake pops!

So now.. Im gonna take a lil’ bit off time off this Christmas and New Year because I’m going on vacation to my home country, Indonesia. I’m gonna satisfy all the cravings I have.. And hey.. I have a reason to do so, because I’m pregnant! Ahhh, the joy of being pregnant….

I wish you a joyful, sweet, wonderful, and delicious Christmas and New Year!

Long Overdue: Part 1

 Heyyyy!!

I know it’s been a while since I blog on my sweet creations… And I think I have a "Valid" reason to do so LOL.. Many of you have known that I’m pregnant (and now in the Week 22!) and so you know how that first trimester treated you ;) But fortunately it didn’t stop me from doing cakes and other stuff.. I’m having a wonderful time in my pregnancy so far.. And you know I really enjoy all the pregnancy perks and sweet treatments from my hubby, who is the bestest of the best :D

So… I’m gonna post some pictures of the cake orders from these past few months..

This was from Yanti’s baby shower… And baby Kai now is already born and growing fast! As you can see the theme is birdy bird.. There were centerpiece cakes, lemon cupcakes, macarons, and bird cake pops…

And here’s a picture of me and the beautiful "mom to be" back then hehehe

Ok next event,

I made this Motorcycle Tire Cake for ci Emile’s husband who turns 40 years young!

The next cake is a very fun cake to make.. It’s a Nike basketball shoe for Richard’s swag birthday!

I’ll see you guys on the next blog… Long Overdue: Part 2!

Hole.in.one

The birthday boy just found a new love in golf! His wife, Lieana, just told me a bunch of things that Di likes… Gold, games, cars…. And I’m thinking, there’s now way I can incorporate everything in one cake.. So I just chose his new found love… Golf! And somehow, I relate Golf with Argyle sweater :D So there it was… An argyle pattern on the side of the cake..

Lieana contacted me the day before his birthday and said that she wanted a simple cake for his "30th birthday". But whoops! He was actually only 29 ;) So, there was a last minute change on the number on the little flag… Later that night, Lieana texted me saying how everybody enjoyed the cake :)

The inside was Lapis surabaya cake with Strawberry jam and Vanilla Rum Buttercream..

I hope you will be a pro golfer soon Di and I’m wishing you for a great year ahead!

Summer Romance

Hello Y’all!

It’s been a while since I blog… I spent the month of May and June resting and testing some new dessert ideas.. Hope you’re having a wonderful summer :) It is an unbearably HOT summer here in Atlanta!

Anyway, I’m back with my newest creation! It’s a cake for Andy and Angie’s engagement party.. Congrats once again for the happy and stylish couple ;)

The two tiered cake was had me worried at first because I’ve never done some of the things before, such as making sugar peony, painting directly onto a cake, and making a ring box! But a challenge is what’s keeping me to get more creative and experienced every time :D A BIG shout out to my interns/ lil’ helpers for keeping me calm during this cake making process: Gabriel Tunggala, Jessica Ongko, and Tiffany Virginia! Y’all are awesome :)

The top tier cake is red velvet with cream cheese icing. The detailing of the cake is gold hand painting (thank you Gabby for being brave!). The Ring box was suppose to match the original Angie’s Cartier ring box. Of course the ring was not the real ring ;) And Thank you to my husband who practiced writing "Cartier" for half an hour just to help me wrote it on the ring box.

The bottom tier is a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. The detailing was a lace-y leaves which add the romantic factor of the cake. And the flower! It an red oriental peony sugar flower with gold stamens.

I was glad that the couple were happy with the cake and so were the guests… I wish nothing but the best for the happy couple! Cheers to Andy and Angie :)
